Is FIXR free to use as a customer?
Yes, posting jobs and chatting with tradies is free. You only pay the agreed fixed-price quote when you accept it, securely held in escrow until the job's done.
How are tradies verified?
Every tradie's ABN, identity and insurance are checked before they can receive jobs. Stripe Connect verification adds another layer for payouts.
What if I'm not happy with the work?
Funds stay in escrow until you confirm the job is done. If something's wrong, raise an issue inside the app. Our team reviews it, and refunds are possible until the work is signed off.
How does the rotation system work?
Jobs are offered to one verified tradie at a time in your postcode. If they decline or don't respond, the job rotates to the next tradie. No bidding, no race to the bottom.

How do tradies pay?
FIXR takes 10% commission on the quote, held from the tradie's payout. At that rate the commission is capped at $150 per job. There are no upfront lead packs, no bidding, and nothing is charged on assignment alone.
What does commission cost on a bigger job?
On jobs of $5,000 and over the cap lifts and commission is 3% of the quote, with no maximum. The rate steps down, so the share FIXR takes never grows as the job gets bigger.
